Our Centenary tree finally planted!

January 6th, a cold and dark winter's day saw the

planting of our Centenary tree in Pitville Park. The

Sweet Chestnut sapling should have been in the ground

by late November but planting was delayed due to the

early cold snap. The tree is between the outer and inner

footpaths, not far from All Saints HQ and roughly opposite

house numbers 49/51.

To get an idea of how our tree will look in a

years' time, follow the path round further

into the park and over to the right is a

mature Sweet Chestnut, marked by a plaque.

Sadly our new sapling has been caged - a

routine operation to protect it from vandals...
